Community Partnerships

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences recognizes the important role community engagement plays in achieving our departmental vision. Fostering real community partnership provides a foundation for the commitments that are essential to the department including clinical innovation, educational excellence, translational research, and professionalism and leadership development. By integrating community engagement strategies throughout the department’s efforts, we create opportunities for co-learning and true collaboration within the Department, across Stanford University, and beyond to our extensive community partners who are invaluable sources of knowledge, support, collaboration and inspiration. Community engagement effectively aligns the mission of the department with the surrounding area, thereby reinforcing opportunities for partnership for decades to come.
